The Langshan is named after the district around the Yangtszekiang River from which they came – about 100 miles from Shanghai. Major A.C. Croad of England was the first to import this unique breed. Langshan chickens lay a large number of brown eggs; the eggs sometimes having a purplish tint from the excessive bloom. The Livestock Conservatory has their status listed as "Watch". We are honored to help repopulate this breed! :-)
These chicks are sold STRAIGHT RUN! See our FAQ page for info about our rooster surrender program, if you live locally.
